DRAG & BURLESQUE – The creative work behind the show!

Under the spotlight, drag and burlesque shine, provoke, and seduce. Behind what we see on stage lies immense work filled with creativity, patience, and passion. This project is an invitation to discover what happens behind the scenes, to better understand the work of these artists, and to celebrate drag and burlesque.

From costume creation to meticulous makeup, as well as dance and lip-syncing, each performance is the result of a long creative process that I deeply admire.

These arts celebrate what makes each person unique and different in a confident and captivating way. The local Montreal scene is vibrant, queer, bold, and generous. It deserves to be seen, shared, and supported. Going to a show, following the artists, and talking about their work all help bring these engaged art forms to life and preserve spaces where everyone can shine.
