It was while reading Bernard Lavallée’s book À la défense de la biodiversité alimentaire that I understood the importance of food diversity.
This project is above all a tribute to food biodiversity, and especially to those who grow and preserve it: market gardeners.
In an era where efficiency and technology dominate, we have gradually lost our connection to the origin of our food. We have also forgotten the richness of a diverse, seasonal, local, and eco-responsible diet.
This work reconnects us to a more humble, more human way of production—in other words, a return to what truly matters. I would like to sincerely thank Ferme des Quatre-temps for allowing me to document their inspiring practices.
The second part of this project showcases food with the same intention: to pay tribute to our food biodiversity in a simple and honest way.
I therefore invite you to eat with the seasons and to consume food produced with care by market gardeners who respect our planet as much as possible.
